'Sheltie at Work' Rally League - How to take part:
To take part in the Rally league you will need to subscribe to our Sheltie At Work magazine (www.esscworkingsection.co.uk). Please send details of your scores + places at KC Open Rally shows (trials). The Working Section's magazine kindly supports the league. At the end of the year there will be rosettes to 6th place for each level of the league, for the highest number of points gained.
The points system COMBINES points for qualifying scores and points for awarded places where given. The level in which you start the year is the one you will stay in for the whole year, but points gained in higher levels will also be added to your score. League points reflect KC's 2018 changes to points system.

League points | Rally points scored at Open KC Rally shows - all levels | Place gained at Open KC Rally shows - all levels |
---|---|---|
8 | 200-210 pts | - |
6 | 190-199pts | 1st |
5 | - | 2nd |
4 | 180-189pts | 3rd |
3 | - | 4th |
2 | 175-179 pts (L1-4 only) | 5th |
1 | - | 6th |
For example: A handler gets 190 points at Level 1 (= 6 league points) and gets a rosette for 6th place (= 1 league point), so that would then be a total of 7 points to go in the league.
Please e-mail your points to Rally-HTM @ esscworkingsection. co.uk (remove the 3 spaces which avoid this being targeted with spam), putting the Subject as 'Rally League' . When you first contact me, please include your name and address, telephone number and e-mail address and dogs registered name. Thereafter just send the name of the show, date of show and the scores + places gained at each of your two levels, with the dog's name if you are claiming points for more than one dog. Note that I will always reply to e-mails, so if you don't get a reply please resend.
Please send in your results within 12 weeks from the show date.
Please note that we are happy to accept older results for the current year if there is a show you didn't realise was eligible, or if you only recently heard about the league etc - however we prefer to receive results within the 12 week window so that the current league table reflects something closer to real time (and to avoid the site editor needing to add a ton of results at the end of the year!).
Please feel free to send photographs of your dogs for the website and also do please send your news.

RULES:
- All dogs must be purebred Shetland Sheepdogs, no crosses allowed
- The league will run from 1st January to 31st December and dogs will stay in the same level league all year, though points can be collected from higher levels.
- Rosettes will be awarded to 6th place in each level of the league.
- Open to all E.S.S.C. members, and subscribers to our Sheltie At Work magazine, competing under UK KC Rules.
- No Have-a-go, Fun, Limit, Restricted, Companion Dog or non-KC Shows count towards the league.
- When claiming points the show, date, level, points score and place (if any) must be stated.
- It is the handler's responsibility to send their points either by post or e-mail. Points to be submitted as soon as possible, ideally within 12 weeks from the show date.
- The League is concerned with the dog's achievements; so you can claim points for the same dog worked by a different handler (provided that handler also meets rule 4).
- Final results at the end of the year must be received no later than 5th January in the following year.
- In the event of a draw at a level, multiple rosettes will be given.
